Abstract

On September 19 of each year the city of Acámbaro, Guanajuato, celebrates the anniversary of its founding. This celebration is based on three documents known as the “actas de fundación” of the town. One of them, known as “donation of Manuel Jolly Prieto”, is the one whose transcription is presented here because it is the most recently incorporated document to this triad and of which less paleographic versions or facsimile reproductions are known. By means of a close paleography, we propose to date its elaboration to the second decade of the 18th century.
